Teacher, Teacher

A had a wonderful teacher this year. Someone who really took the time to appreciate him as a child and as the great kid he is, with all his quirks. In thanks, he bought her some scrapbooking supplies and I added a few goodies to the bag.

Two ballband dish clothes,
and a bookmark from Patons Grace.
I found the great little pattern on Knit with KT,
and it was simple and quick, just what I wanted!
I discovered that it is very difficult to photograph
something black, however!
The cute little eyelet pattern wasn't showing up well, so I finally put it in the window. Problem solved.

That bookmark is just fab no matter what the color - I did pink, you did black, it's all good! I'll have to try one of those ball band cloths - they seem to be all the rage right now. Thanks for posting the photo of the bookmark (and for the link to my pattern)! KT

Oooh, now that makes me think you should knit yourself some lace curtains for those windows.

(I can just hear you saying "yeah: I'll get right on that, you psycho.")

I want to call you psycho, but now I have this vision of airy lace curtains .... curse you!

Hey, that's right ... haven't you been planning lace curtains for ages, Sunmi? Come one ... we can do it together! (No, not really. I'm not totally insane. Talk to me after A and I have spent the summer together though ....)

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog and your praise for the landscape shawl. I love your washcloths and the black lace. I should really do some washcloths. I have a hard time knitting something that will get so dirty and ruined! As for my travel mystery, I forgot that everyone is not from the Midwest USA!!! Therefore, I will put all the names of commenters to the post in a hat (handknit, of course) and select a winner for my de-stash!

Kate - there was a gal at the Knitting Retreat on Quadra who had knit burgundy lace curtains! Not for me - I would probably change the room colour before I got them finished.
Great teacher gifts.
I think you would enjoy knitting the Pi Shawl. I am knitting it with light weight sock yarn and I think three balls would give you a nice large shawl!
Great knitting weather isn't it - where is our summer?
